The first indication should be keyword research

Backlinks are great for branding in the sense that they get your target audience familiar with seeing your brand associated with the products or services that they are looking for. While the Meta keyword and Meta description tags aren’t used as a ranking factor, Meta tags do still continue to have a use when it comes to SEO. The Meta keywords tag can be ignored but the Meta description tag should be used to help entice users to click on your page. A good Meta tag should be under 160 characters in length and provide a synopsis of the content on the page. Think of your Meta tag as a short elevator pitch that you can use to drive people to your website. Think of new ideas to expand your content, or even to invest in evergreen content, and make sure you think like a reader, rather than a search engine. Sometimes knowing why you’re doing something can make all the difference. People either go to Google to find something quickly, or they go there to find something they can trust. For speed, they’ll be happy with paid ads. For confidence in quality, they’ll opt for organic search results. Pretty simple, right?

Social sharing

Create a site map that tells people where everything is on your site. You will get about a 1% click through rate to your site map. However, it will do wonders for those who know what site maps do, and the Search Engines will like it as well. Inbound link-building is an important SEO strategy, and a great way to do this is to make friends with other relevant, local businesses so that you can share links and promote one another. Perhaps you could organise a community event together or work out some kind mutually beneficial offer for customers that will give you the opportunity to create links on your sites? Google has always encouraged webmasters to make their primary focus one of providing a good user experience. As the algorithm gets “smarter”, websites that do so are positioned to benefit the most. Search engines drive dramatic quantities of focused traffic, comprising people intent on accomplishing their research and purchasing goals. Having a sitemap for your website plays a crucial role in SEO. It helps Google easily crawl your pages and index your website.

Make sure that the links you build are natural

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website in a search engine’s “natural” or “organic” (not paid for) search results. A big part of Search Engine Optimization is optimizing your website to make it easier for visitors to navigate and use. Originally devised as a way to combat comment spam, when a nofollow attribute is added to a link it tells search engines that your link to it isn't necessarily a vote of confidence. What is SEO? Consider dropping a link back to your main website in any other websites you may be running. Using one business platform to increase exposure for another is just a good idea, even if you don’t happen to be getting much traffic at those other websites. The link structure of the Web serves to bind together all of the pages that have been made public as a result of someone linking to them. Through links, search engines’ automated robots, called crawlers or spiders, can reach the many billions of interconnected documents.

Too many cooks spoil the SEO soup!

Gaz Hall, a Freelance SEO Consultant, commented: "Don't commit the cardinal sin of letting dots ruin your page descriptions" A search engine results page (abbreviated to SERP) is the listing of results returned by a search engine in response to a query for a keyword or phrase. Search engines, like Google and Bing, will return many pages of content results for a given search term. People pay billions of dollars a year to companies like Google for tiny little ads that do not give enough information to even attract the right kind of client. The reason that it works though is because the ads are so small. Google now supports using the rel=“canonical” link element across different domains. This means that you can have similar content on both the .com and .co.uk extensions of your site, and use the canonical link element to indicate the exact URL of the domain preferred for indexing. This will make duplicate content a non-issue. Also, keep in mind that this is not required when using different languages. Google does not consider foreign-language translations to be duplicate content. But it is something to consider for multiple locale sites in the same language. You’ve seen what links you and your competitors have. Now it is time to start building up your profile. As with any strategy, you need to set goals, and make sure it aligns with your overall marketing focus.

Make sure your website is indexed in Google

One part of SEO many have heard of is keyword research. After all, every time we use a search engine, we’re using a keyword (the name is a misnomer, most keywords have more than one word in them!) Good website navigation is very important because it helps website visitors and search engines to understand your website structure. The internal links of your website do have an influence on the search engine rankings of your website. No matter what niche your website is in, when you start writing an article, always provide helpful and actionable guidance. If you are giving the users the information they want, your content can be as long as you need. DA/PA and CT/TF are all third party metrics meant to somehow replace the void left by the famous Google PR (Page Rank). Obviously none of them could replicate PR real values of nowadays (as those values are being kept secret for quite a while now). Sitelinks are additional links which appear beneath the main URL for a brand or publisher when you search for it on Google. They deep link to other pages within your site, and are designed by Google to “help users navigate your site”.

Made a website, but is not showing in the SERPs?

Link bait is an underutilized strategy that can get your website a boatload of white hat links in a flash. All you need to do is write content that’s compelling, controversial or especially helpful (or a combination of all 3!). This way, when someone stumbles across your content they’ll be compelled to link to it from their site. Google Analytics is an intuitive and free measurement platform that gives you insight into all of your webpages. It all starts with a line of code that you put in the header of your website that will let you install a container of Google tags, that will give you visibility in your analytics Dashboard. In business, regardless of the particular field, it has always been a good idea to look around and see what competitors are doing, then try to apply what’s working for them to one’s own website. Block segment analysis dictates the value of weight / ranking factors a web page is given for a set portion of the page. Aside from offering users the best insights possible, high-quality content goes hand in hand with your backlink profile--a key element of SEO. The more links that you amass back to your website from other authoritative websites, the greater the likelihood is of improving the visibility your website receives in search engines.
